Schools participating in CREATE! will be featured in a special exhibit held in The Gallery at the Auburn Mall. The community can view student artwork and one student will be chosen as Auburn’s Top Young Artist.
HOW IT WORKS
The Gallery at the Auburn Mall consists of six exhibit sections each 6’ x 10’. Schools can register to reserve a section for their artwork. We will provide labels to identify the students name and grade. All artwork will be dropped off at the Mall and displayed by Mall staff. Opening Night at the gallery kicks off the exhibit and the start of Auburn’s Top Young Artist Competition.
This year’s theme is OUR COMMUNITY. Through their artwork, students should represent the past, present or future of their community.
All artwork must be on paper and preferably mounted on a paper mat such as foam board or card stock. Students may use any media to create their artwork. You must affix the provided labels to the bottom right hand corner of each piece. Please submit enough artwork to fill your section.
TOP YOUNG ARTIST COMPETITION
A finalist from each school will be selected by the Auburn Mall. At the end of the exhibit, a panel of local judges will then determine the winner to be named Auburn's Top Young Artist. The winner will receive the Top Young Artist Award and a $250 donation to their school's art program.
